COVID-19 Card for Foreign Workers inside the Country

All employers must process the Card within 1 May 2020.

The COVID-19 Card is mandatory. Failure to comply will result in punitive actions.

Foreign workers are not required to present themselves in person to the immigration office.

Documents required

Two passport size photo of the foreign worker. Please write the name of the worker behind the photo. Photo may be taken onsite on mobile phone.
Copy of the Work Permit

For foreign workers working in Thimphu, Punakha, Wangduphodrang, Gasa, Paro and Haa, please apply at Department of Immigration, Thimphu.

For foreign workers working in Chukha, please apply at Regional Immigration Office, Phuentsholing.

For foreign workers working in Samtse, please apply to Regional Immigration Office, Samtse.

For foreign workers working in Trongsa, Sarpang, Tsirang, Dagana, Bumthang and Zhemgang, please apply at Regional Immigration Office, Gelephu.

For foreign workers working in Trashigang, Trashiyangtse, Lhuentse, Mongar, Pemagatshel and Samdrup Jongkhar, please apply at Regional Immigration Office, Samdrup Jongkhar.
