Regional Immigration Offices

There are four Regional Immigration Offices located in Samtse, Phuentsholing, Gelephu and Samdrup Jongkhar.

The Regional Immigration Offices facilitates legitimate and lawful entry and exit of all people traveling by land.

It also assesses the admissibility of people issued with an e-Visa/e-Permit as well as nationals of countries who are eligible for visa/permit on arrival.

The Regional Immigration Offices provides the following services:

1. 1. Work Permit
   2. Entry Permit
   3. Visa on Arrival
   4. Dependent Permit
   5. Route Permit
   6. Investor Permit
   7. Student Permit

The Regional Immigration Offices also conduct field inspections in Dzongkhags that fall under their respective jurisdictions.

In addition, they supervise and manage checkpoints and outposts under their respective jurisdictions.
